Savoy Jazz
SAVOY JAZZ…..where bebop began and the artists still swing…. The Savoy Label Group (SLG) is a full service record company specializing in the creation and marketing of adult music worldwide. The Savoy Jazz catalog, synonymous with jazz excellence since the 1940’s, represents the early landmark recordings of legends Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Erroll Garner, Cannonball Adderley and many, many others.
Screwgun Records

Sharp Nine Records
In the summer of 1995, jazz enthusiast Marc Edelman launched a venture, Sharp Nine Records, with a very simple premise. As expressed in the mission statement found on his very first release (Brian Lynch’s Keep Your Circle Small), the label was formed to “record and promote modern jazz music-bebop and beyond.” In addition, Sharp Nine would “provide an arena where new talent is introduced and established players find renewal.”

The Shrapnel Records Group hosts a modern fusion label called Tone Center Records, which has released recordings by such artists as Steve Smith, Bill Connors, Bunny Brunel, Steve Khan, Michael Landau, Joe Zawinul & Greg Howe. Tone Center is know for attracting top jazz talent to its projects. Sidemen & contributors on Tone Center albums include Jack DeJohnette, Randy Brecker, Vinnie Colaiuta, Robben Ford, Dennis Chambers, John Patitucci, Tom Coster and Larry Coryell.
Silkheart Records
Silkheart Records is a Swedish record label dedicated to recording improvised music and free jazz. Lars-Olof Gustavsson and Keith Knox founded Silkheart in 1985. David S. Ware and Alvin Fielder both recorded comeback albums for Silkheart, while Charles Gayle, Matthew Shipp, Rob Brown, Booker T. Williams, Daniel Carter, Jim Hobbs and Dennis Charles all made their debut recordings for the label.

Spotlite Jazz
Spotlite Jazz started life in 1968 as the brain child of Tony Williams who staked his limited resources on reissuing the complete Charlie Parker Dial recordings. This initial release was followed by reissues of the remainder of the Dial catalogue, along with American jazz broadcasts and rare studio and live recordings by leading American jazz musicians. Since then the policy has been developed to encompass British artists including saxophonists Peter King, Don Rendell, Pat Crumly, and Kathy Stobart; pianists John Horler and Brian Dee, among others.
Steeplechase
SteepleChase was founded in 1972 by Nils Winther, who was a student at Copenhagen University at the time. He began recording performances at Jazzhus Montmartre, where many American expatriates played, and was given permission by some of the artists to release the material on record. SteepleChase became a haven for many artists who had lost contracts with larger labels after the 1960s, particularly after the failure of Blue Note.
Storyville Records
Storyville Records is a Denmark based record label founded in 1950 by Karl Emil Knudsen, a jazz record collector, then working for the Copenhagen telephone company. Named after Storyville the famous historic Red light district of New Orleans, Louisiana, its main focus has always been on jazz and blues. The label’s first releases were 78 rpm reissues featuring Ma Rainey, Clarence Williams Blue Five, and James P. Johnson, but Storyville soon began releasing original recordings.
Strata-East Records
Strata-East Records is an influential American record label of jazz music, founded in 1971 by Stanley Cowell and Charles Tolliver. The label released over 60 albums in the 1970s, several by prominent artists including Clifford Jordan, Pharoah Sanders, and Shirley Scott.
